James, also known fondly as Jim, Jimmy, JY and of course Daddy, grew up in Irondequoit. He graduated from IHS in 1984 and St. John Fisher College in 1988. He played football for the Vikings, the Indians and the Cardinals. He was known for his intensity of play and was always a true leader on his teams and in life.
Jim was the youngest of 7 children and was known for his sense of humor, love of family, friends, sports, dogs. and most notably for his effervescent, charming personality.
To say Jim had a lot of energy is an understatement. In his adult life, he played baseball (catcher!), roller hockey, golf and was an avid skier. He excelled in all of his business endeavors.
He moved to San Diego in the early ‘90’s where lifelong friends were made, his career flourished and his journey into fatherhood began. He started his own executive recruiting firm and moved to Park City, UT in 2001 where his young family continued to grow.
Jim loved his daughters beyond measure. He was proud of the strong, kind and intelligent women they have become.
May we all cherish the memories we have with Jim. Rest in peace JY.
