There are people who come into your life and leave a mark so deep that even time can’t soften it. Sue was one of those people for me. Someone whose presence shaped who I became, whose love and influence still echo in the choices I make and the way I move through the world. When I look back, I see a lifetime of moments, big and small, that she helped color with meaning. The mother figure I needed. She always showed up, when I needed her the most.
I also carry the regret of letting life pull me away. The years move fast, responsibilities pile up, and before you know it, distance grows where closeness used to be. I wish I had held on tighter, visited more often, made more room for the relationship that meant so much. But regret is just another way of saying the bond mattered, that Sue mattered.
What brings me comfort now is knowing that love doesn’t disappear just because time slipped away. The connection we had didn’t fade; it simply waited for me to return to it. I hold her with me in the quiet moments, in the lessons she taught me, and in the strength, she helped me find. Sue lives on in the way I love, the way I show up for others, and the way I try to be a better version of myself. That’s how she stays with me, not just in memory, but in the life, I continue to build with her still in my heart. What a blessing the whole Desino family was/is to me, an extended family who loved me unconditionally. My heart, thoughts and prayers are with Ron, Michelle, Lisa and the entire family.

I've known Sue since kindergarten, St Francis. One of my most memorable is our class photo. Sue was the cutest of all. She sat in the front row, hands folded and stood out just like Shirley Temple. She was adorable! I lost the photo, but I will never forget how she looked.
We went to high school together and we had a lot of good times with our group of friends. Sue was always quick with a silly remark and laughing so happily.
Every now and then, I would run into her and Ronnie at the casino. I don't recall her winning, on those days.
That's ok Sue. You won far more in life than money at the casino. It's the love from all those that have known you.
Ron and family, you have my deepest sympathy.

Big hugs to all. Sue was so full of light and wit. I clearly remember a snicker and laugh that could fill up the room. Even after Gram Viv passed, her interactions and notes about the kids felt like a comfort of home. I know they're reunited together and watching over all their loved ones. Sending lots of peace and comfort to all during this time

What can I say about this beautiful woman who could tell a story with humor making me and others laugh. Sue and I called each other Sue #1 and Sue #2. She was and always will be Sue #1. I will miss her more than words can say. God will care for her now. My condolences to Ron and her wonderful family who she loved so much. With love and hugs from Sue #2 to all of you.

My wife and I had the pleasure to travel through Italy with Sue and Mary Ann in 2019.
All I can say is, she was a kindred spirit.
We shared sarcasm and laughter from Sicily to the Dolomites during our 14 days together.
My deepest condolences and prayers to her family during this sad time.
We wish her nothing but peace for her new journey.

Susan, the memories will last forever. We met in high school and had such good times. All the fun we had at the Valguarnera and the Uptown dances. The times at the UD. When we all became the UDMJ's. The memories will last forever. Rest now my friend, and sleep with the angels. Tina VanRyne (Lorenzo)

I have many memories of this wonderful “Grandma. But my very favorite is the one where she was looking at her newest Great grandaughter Millie and said to her mom, “How does it feel to not have any of those kids look like you? She didn’t say it out of maliciousness but with pride and love. Same love she put in her “Ronies” that the kids rave about and her hugs. BTW It’s true. Every time I look at Vanessa, Gabriella and Millie I will always see you shinning through their smiles and eyes. Rest in peace Gramma Sue, we all with miss your presence. Nana Annie.
