Obituary of Bernard C. Luke, Jr.

Bernard C. Luke Jr., born October 16, 1953, in Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, surrounded by family. He was a beloved husband, brother, uncle, and man of faith.

He was the devoted husband of Joyce Luke and a loving brother to Audrey Luke. He was predeceased by his sister, Marjorie (Luke) Greenwood; his father, Bernard Luke Sr. (Debra); and his mother, Edna (Schulze) Luke.

Bernard played a significant role in the lives of his five nieces and nephews, whom he helped raise and loved as his own: Barry Greenwood (Melynda), Leslie Greenwood (Louis Anselmo), Eric Greenwood (Cara), Lauren Francis (Dany), and Brooke Parsons (Eric Swain). He also leaves behind many cherished great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.

Faith was the cornerstone of Bernard’s life. He was a dedicated member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, where his commitment to his church community reflected the depth of his beliefs.

Family will receive friends on Friday, February 20,2026  from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 6020 Pittsford-Palmyra Road, Fairport, NY 14450. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.

Bernard will be remembered for his steady presence, his devotion to family, and the quiet strength of his faith. His legacy lives on in the family he loved and supported so faithfully.
