Jackie Moll
Ellie was such a kind, sweet and gentle person making it so easy to get to know her.
We met at St. Kateri Parish after her husband Ken passed away. She was in tears and I consoled her.
We were best of friends for 10 years. We took trips to Pennsylvania to visit her cousin and we also traveled within New York State.
Ellie suggested that I join the Irondequoit Art Club and the Rochester Museum and Science Center Council.
We definitely enjoyed each other's company!

Ellie was a dear friend since she and Tom’s very first days on Oakridge Drive...approximately 1970. Throughout her life, she was always giving and generous with her time and talents. Whether it was teaching City of Rochester students in her first years in Rochester; sharing her love of reading with her sons; working with little ones as a cub scout leader; transporting children to Montessori school in West Irondequoit; serving on the Montessori School Board; teaching in West Irondequoit after Tom died; moving up to teach older students in Transitional Studies at MCC; her many years of loving caretaking of her husband Ken; delivering food to the needy; making gift baskets, mitten trees, ... through church; gathering donations for the museum and art gallery; helping friends in small and big ways…like using her artistic ability to help this non-artistic friend find the perfect kitchen backsplash; sharing her art talent with her precious granddaughter or sharing her arts and crafts as gifts when invited into their homes for a holiday meal ….Ellie was ALWAYS selflessly “there” for others, without fail and without expectation. She loved sailing with Tom, traveling the world with Ken, and dinners out with friends. She was easy to please and so appreciative of anything and everything you did for her. She journeyed through good times and hard times along the path of life and somehow found the strength and learned the skills to overcome the challenges she encountered and adapt. Her greatest joys were her family; her face lit up with pride when talking about them…and she lives on through them and through those of us she touched and on whom she left her indelible mark.
