Jerry was caring and funny. I met Jerry in the 70's when he had his shop. He was a long-time and loyal friend of my aunt and uncle, John & Winnie Delehanty - my sincere sympathy and prayers for all Jerry's family. Patty Lynch-Grover.

After attending the calling hours today and seeing the Dee family after so many years, I had the feeling that no time had passed at all. My family, the Deegan family, spent many years together with the Dee's. St. Patrick's Day parties, pool parties, and picnics. My siblings and the Dee children grew up together, but as happens in life we grew apart over the years. The thing about having childhood memories and childhood friends, you really never lose that connection, which is what I felt today and am very grateful for.
My father, Bill Deegan loved Gerry like the brother he never had. They shared the love of the Irish Community, their Irish heritage and maybe even Irish Whiskey, yeah Irish Whiskey. I can see them now having a sip of the Irish!!
My hope is that you all, Eileen, Janice, Connie, Gerry and Bridget will see your fathers smiling face, hear his laughter and feel his love every day. Take comfort and pride in knowing that he was loved by so many and will be missed but never forgotten.
Godspeed Gerry, slainte
With love, Jeannine Deegan Collins

We the Hildebrand girls loved Gerry and your whole family! My Dad met Gerry at work when he and my mom moved to Rochester. Gerry and my dad hit it off and became his oldest and best of friends.. Because they both had a lot of kids and the same ages we would get together for nothing but Crazy, Fun and very Entertaining events. Nothing could replace the laughter and closeness my dad Dennis and mom Betty had with Jerry, Mary and Joan. It was wonderful! We love all of you and are sorry to see him leave. But he is with Mary and Joan and friends and Jesus entertaining everyone in Heaven! Love you all. The Hildebrands (Denise, Kathy, Laura and Stacey)

I’m deeply grateful to Gerry Dee for bringing my amazing Aunt Bridget into the world and for helping build such a loving, close-knit family with my uncle. Mr. Dee was a family man, with the warmth, humor, and storytelling spirit of a proud Irishman. I’ll always cherish hearing him and my grandpa on the phone together, going back and forth swapping stories and laughs for hours. Sending so much love and prayers to the entire Dee family.

I have a feeling that this photo is the only one that exists of Mr Dee looking serious! He was the kindest, funniest, most loving man. He and his ‘Irish Mafia’ adopted my family almost 60 years ago and are my most treasured ’ non family’, family. I ll miss his sense of humor, his Massachusett accent, his care and concern for me and my children ,always asking about them and laughing about their antics, then retelling stories from our childhood that made us all laugh! I m sure my parents and Mary Dee are setting up a tennis date and cocktails to follow.❤️

My condolences to the Dee family. I remember visiting Rochester with Jan over the holidays decades ago and I so enjoyed spending time with Mr Dee and the family. I was indoctrinated into the family games, love and laughter that the they shared. I had never played charades before or experienced such a wonderful closeness and kindness that the family shared. It was a hoot. It took them some time to teach me the game.
Prayers to the family during this difficult period.
Peace and happy memories..
