Obituary of Eugene C. Antczak
Eugene C. Antczak
Rochester – On June 13, 2026 at age 98. He was predeceased by his parents, Stanislaus and Frances (nee Jaworski); sisters Florence (Harry) Gerger and Gertrude (John) Domalski; brothers Leonard, Raymond, and Thaddeus (Irene K.). Eugene is survived by nieces and nephews, Robert (Leona) Gerger, Elaine (John) Andrews, Arlene Walters, Thomas (Sharon) Domalski and Marianne Antczak; great-nieces and great-nephews; great-great-nieces and great-great- nephews and many dear friends and neighbors.
Eugene Carl Antczak was a graduate of St. Stanislaus School, Aquinas Institute and Niagara University (’48). He was known to all as a kind, generous, humorous, honest, and thoughtful gentleman.
Just after turning 16, he started working at Kodak on D-Day. His later career took him to Graflex and F. L. Heughes & Company as a Purchasing Agent.
A proud American, he served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He cherished his Polish heritage, mastering the language and traveling to Poland several times, meeting family and subsequently hosting family members visiting the US, strengthening relationship ties across the ocean.
Most of all, he was a faithful Catholic and lifelong, devoted member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Parish. A gifted musician, Gene loved going to concerts, sang in the church choirs and the former Echo Singing Society, and worked Thursday night Bingo to raise money for the current magnificent church organ.
In recent years, Gene enjoyed the companionship of new friends at Chapel Oaks of the St. Ann’s Community.
Gene’s family is grateful to the neighbors, friends, and pastoral and medical professionals who helped him live a full and active life well into his 98th year.
No prior calling. Family and friends are invited to Eugene’s Funeral Mass Wednesday, June 17, 2026, 12:00 PM at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 1124 Hudson Avenue, Rochester, NY 14621.
