Bernard A. "Bud" Strohmeyer
February 9, 1933 - August 1, 2026

Bud is predeceased by his parents, Albert and Elsie Strohmeyer; brother, Robert Strohmeyer.
He is survived by his nieces, Sue Maduro and Lynda (Jeff) Gillette; sister in-law, Charlene Astfalk; many cousins, friends and extended family.

Bud's Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, August 14, 2026 at 10:00AM at St. Francis Cabrini Parish at Corpus Christi at 864 East Main Street, Rochester, NY 14605.  Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Bud dedicated his entire career to the Rochester City School District, where he served with distinction as both a teacher and principal. He had a lifelong passion for travel, exploring many countries throughout Europe and making several memorable trips to Thailand. Bud also enjoyed dining out and never passed up the opportunity to share breakfast, lunch, or dinner with friends and family. He had a love for antiques and was an avid collector. He was also a devoted reader with a lifelong fascination for the golden age of Hollywood and Disney. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs held a special place in his heart, as it was the first movie his father took him to see in a theater, a cherished memory he carried throughout his life. Thoughtful and generous by nature, he had a special talent for choosing just the right gift for every occasion, making those around him feel appreciated and remembered. His kindness, generosity, and love of spending time with others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
