Amanda posted a condolence
Dear family and friends of Genevieve Hunter , My name is Amanda and I am one of Jehovahs Witnesses. I happened to be reading the obituaries in the Democrat and Chronicle and I saw that you lost a loved one in death. Genevieve Hunter. I want to send my condolences. I also want to share a thought of hope and encouragement. At John 5:28,29 Jesus promised that "those in the memorial tombs will come out." In harmony with God's original purpose, those resurrected as humans will have the opportunity to live on a paradise earth.(Luke 23:43) This promised future includes perfect health and everlasting life for obedient humans. The Bible says : "The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it."-Psalm 37:29. One day you will be able to your loved one again. What a great day that will be. I wish you well. Thank you -Amanda

Fond memories of my cousin Gen from her cousins as we now live in Florida. Aunt Carrie and my Mom Catherine were very devoted sisters to each other. I have many nice memories of visiting the Ackerman's in DuBois when we were all children together.

Dear Sarah Jane, Billy and Mary Ann
I was saddened by the lost of your mom and my godmother. I have many wonderful memories of her. I remember in particular when your mom, my mom and Mrs. Baummer came to Tennessee for a visit. We played cards, did puzzles and went shopping. We went to the Grand Ole Opry where you mom surprised me with her knowledge of all the country western stars and their songs. She knew them all! I had never realized she loved Country & Western music.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this sad time. Just remember all the great fun and memories we had as a family when we were growing up.

I am saddened to learn of Gen's passing. I met her when my mother, Blanche, was on 2 Hastings. She would proudly show me the most recent puzzle that she had completed. I enjoyed our conversations together. Gen is one of the people that I wish I had known earlier, when she was in her prime. But even at St John's, I could see that she had that sparkle in her eye, was fun-loving, and a good and kind woman.
I know that you will miss her. Cherish the memories. They help sustain you.
