Obituary of Maria Danylyshyn
Please share a memory of Maria to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Danylyshyn, Maria
Irondequoit: Friday, February 18, 2011. Pre-deceased by her husband Petro. Mrs. Danylyshyn is survived by her daughter Cristina Seese. Maria was born in Ukraine and with her husband, left their families and fled with courage when her homeland was being occupied. Both believed that a better life was in store for them and for the children they knew they would have. The road to America was long and with many challenges, but they persevered never losing hope for a better life. They ended up in Rochester and became part of a vibrant Ukrainian community. After the passing of her husband, Maria found new strength and got a drivers license and became more immersed with her friends and social activities. Maria loved her friends and the time spent with them, and especially loved a good party. Maria was an excellent cook and baker, and her daughter remembers meals that were made from soup bones that could rival any full course meal. Maria will be remembered and missed by the many whose lives she has touched.
Peace be with you.
