Obituary of Frances A. Palumbo

Palumbo, Frances (Polly) Pittsford: Polly passed gently from this life on June 10, 2015, with her two sons, her sister Yolanda and beloved friends, Ellie and Leana, beside her. Though barely five feet tall, Polly was an irrepressible personality and the gravitational center of our lives. She was queen of her kitchen and a Word-Jumble savant. Mostly though, she loved to laugh and make others laugh with her. Her repertoire of bawdy jokes, which she told to her family and friends over and over again, still make us chuckle. She even laughed and joked as she fought through two bouts with cancer. Above all else, though, Polly loved her sons and believed in them unconditionally. She was predeceased by her husband, Tony, the love of her life. She leaves behind two heartbroken sons, Rob and Dick, their wives, Melanie and Anne and three grandchildren, Erin, Jay and Olivia. Her family will receive friends MONDAY 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family TUESDAY 11:00 AM at ST. KATERI AT CHRIST THE KING CHURCH for her funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
