Wurzer, Dorothy L. Irondequoit: Passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 18, 2015 just past her 91st birthday. Predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Willard C. Wurzer; parents, Herbert H. & Mary J. (Isaac) Gardner and sister, Marion (Warren) Schum. She is survived by her children, Willard H. (Dawn) Wurzer, Amy E. Sumner (Peluso) (Thomas Simmons); grandchildren, Victoria, Megan and Chay; nieces, Kathryn (Joseph) Taraci and Sandy (Steve) Remington. Dot was retired from West Irondequoit Central School District, where she worked in the Guidance office. She enjoyed spending time camping with friends and family, and was a past-president & long time member of the Ironda-Wanderers Chapter of NCHA and Good Sam camping clubs. An avid card player, she enjoyed hosting friends for pinochle and scat club nights, and later in life enjoyed hosting family and friends while wintering in New Port Richey, Florida. A special thanks to the staff at M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center. Dot's life will be celebrated in a Memorial Service at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), MONDAY 11:00 AM. Interment private.
