Irondequoit ; Monday, December 28, 2015, at age 97. Pre-deceased by her loving husband Joseph Elmer Leo, brother Everett Claudius, parents Elizabeth & Edgar Claudius. Helen is survived by her children Richard (Mare) Leo, Jeanne Leo, Timothy (Tiina Kriisa-Leo), Marjorie (Matthew) Jacobs. She is also survived by her grandchildren Erik, Mark, and Brian Leo, Julie (Brian) Rockefeller, Sarah (Timothy) Wesgate, Liisa, Kristofer, and Isak Leo, and Matthew and Brendan Jacobs, her great grandchildren Carter and Elizabeth Rockefeller, and Anna and Mckenzie Wesgate, and many nieces and nephews. Helen was a graduate of St. Mary's in Canandaigua, Canandaigua Academy, and Rochester Business Institute. She was a member of St. John's Ladies Auxiliary #44 at OLPH and the Wolcott and Englewood, FL, Elk's Clubs. She enjoyed her many friends from Port Bay, Pinegrove Senior Center, St. Salome's and Alameda Isles in Florida. Helen was a devoted member of St. Kateri Tekakwitha parish.The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Ann's Community Center and Lifetime Care and Hospice for their kind, compassionate, and loving care of our beloved Mother. Her family will receive friends TODAY Wednesday 4-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family THURSDAY 10:00am at ST. ANNS HOME CHAPEL for her funeral mass. Interment to be scheduled at a later date.
