Masiello, Monica O. Irondequoit: Monica O. (Viner) Masiello, "fondly known as Greiga", age 82, originally from London, England, now of Rochester, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. Predeceased by her parents, Fred and Rose Viner, her husband Anthony J. and many in-laws. Survived by her beloved children: Theresa, Michael (Kim), John (Tracey), and Catherine (Carol) Masiello Shaw. Grandchildren: Zachary, Abigail, Cheyenne, Sierra, Dillon, Austin, Griffin and Hannah. Her siblings in England: Margaret (George) Dunbar, John (Helen) Viner, Paul (Alyson) Viner, and Rochester sister-in-law Anna Masiello. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Impacted by vascular dementia in her last years, she maintained a sparkle in her eye for loved ones, a toe tap for good music and loved cuddles with furry friends. The family will provide flowers; charitable donations are requested to the Palliative Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital, Office of Advancement, PO Box 278996, 300 East River Road, Rochester, NY 14627, where she spent her last days and to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011, the parent organization dedicated to researching a cure for all forms of dementia. Her family will receive friends Friday 6:00 - 9:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday 10:00 am at St. Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church for her funeral mass. Interment will be held in private.
