Frank, Monica (Stein) Irondequoit: Passed away unexpectedly January 22 at the age of 86. Monica was the only daughter in a family with 4 brothers raised on Golf Avenue in Pittsford. Predeceased by husband Joe, brothers Paul, Bernard, and Franklin Stein. Survived by brother Sylvester (Rita) Stein, sisters-in-law Carol Stein and Delores Stein, sons Thomas (Margaret) of Fairport, Ron (Terese) of Rochester, grandchildren Mike, Chrissy, Jessica, Andrea, and great grandson Cameron Schrom. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. Monica was a devout Christian and practicing Catholic, and she was very active in her parish, Saint Salome, for over 40 years. Monica worked at Joann Fabrics for many years and was an excellent seamstress. She had a "green thumb" with her outdoor gardens and her indoor plants. She was a caring, sweet, gentle soul who loved her family and was very proud of their accomplishments. The family would like to thank all of the staff at The Northfield in Fairport, NY, where Monica lived the past 18 months. She was very happy there. Friends may call Friday, January 27 at Harris Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 28 at 9:30 am in St. Kateri Parish at Christ the King Church, 445 Kings Highway South. Contributions can be made to Family Service Communities, 4560 Nine Mile Point Road, Fairport, NY 14450 ( Please make a notation: for gardens at The Northfield).
