Although not related, Aunt Mart always made me feel a part of the family and i will remember her words of strength, wisdom, about never giving up, and her humor and the sparkle in her eyes as she told a story. Sending prayers to her family and friends.
thank you for that beautiful tribute to your Aunt Martha. We loved her dearly at St John's Home. I was not able to attend her 100th birthday party, but that meant that I got to hear all about it from her. You all gave her a lot of joy, that day.
She loved you all very much and prayed for you often. I can't tell you how often we prayed for her brother Martin! - or her niece who was at St John's.
Once I was praying with her, on one of her "bad" days when she really didn't want any company. In the prayer I thanked God for her sense of humor, and she grinned, ear to ear.
I will miss her tremendously and know that all of you will, too. A life fully-lived, indeed.
