Thursday, October 12, 2017, at the age of 84. Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Catherine. Tim is survived by his brother, John J. Schantz Sr.; sisters Catherine Meisenzahl (Stuart) and Veronica DeWind (Walter); his aunt, Elizabeth Schantz; 9 nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; cousins; dear friends.

Tim was born in Binghamton, New York, in 1933. As an infant he moved to Rochester, New York, and then to Irondequoit, New York. He graduated from Irondequoit High School in 1951 and attended Cornell University prior to serving in the United States Army in Germany for two years from 1954 to 1956. After serving his country, Tim returned to Rochester and settled permanently in Irondequoit.

Tim's family will receive friends MONDAY 2:00 - 4:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.). Friends are invited to meet the family TUESDAY 9:30 AM at ST. KATERI AT CHRIST THE KING CHURCH for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to School of the Holy Childhood, 100 Groton Pkwy., Rochester, NY 14623.
