Obituary of James MZ Griepp

James Matthew Zettelmaier Griepp, 64 of Pittsford, NY passed away from complications of Huntingtons Disease on 3/17/24. Born to Carl and Janet Griepp in Rochester, NY on December 23, 1959, Jim is survived by his wife, Ann Zettelmaier Griepp, children Anton Griepp (Felicity) and Kristina Lentine (Kyle) and granddaughter, Elena. He is also survived by brothers Bob (Vicki), Bill (Sue), and Richard (Tonya Colburn) Griepp and his sister Susan Northrup (Randy), an aunt Emily Button Sullivan, several nieces and nephews and cousins. Jim was preceded in death by both his mother Janet Claver and father Carl Griepp, his beloved Aunt Verdun Paruta as well as other aunts, uncles, cousins.

Jim was devoted to his family, and together with them enjoyed music, travel, rollercoasters and sharing good food, especially his favorite Krispy Kreme donuts and sponge candy. To the end of his days he routinely said thank you after each bite when he was fed. Jim will always be remembered for his gentle manner and kindness, especially to the poor.

Jim’s life will be celebrated Sunday March 24, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm immediately followed by his funeral service at 3:00pm with a reception to follow at Harris Funeral Home, 570 Kings Highway South.
