Joseph John Juzwiak of Irondequoit, passed away on Friday, August 4th 2023, at the age of 75 surrounded by his loving family. Joe was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Helen (Cieslinski) Juzwiak. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joyce (Wahl) Juzwiak; daughter, Lindsey (Brian) VanDerWoude; grandchildren, Lillian VanDerWoude and Benjamin VanDerWoude and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Joe was born in Rochester, NY on September 17, 1947. He graduated from the Aquinas Institute of Rochester Class of 1965 and enlisted in the US Army where he proudly served his country during the Vietnam conflict. In 1971 Joe joined the Sheet Metal Workers' Local Union 46 and began his career as a Sheet Metal worker. He worked for Postler & Jaeckle with over 24 years of dedicated service, retiring in 2005. In 2022 Joe received his 50 year pin with the Sheet Metal Workers' Local Union 46.

Joe loved spending time with his family and friends, which brought him new adventures in different seasons of upstate New York. He kept busy fishing, hunting, boating, golfing and especially Friday lunches with his friends. Throughout his years he always taught us to be proud and supported us all throughout the many accomplishments and difficulties of our lives. Joe was a member of the Irondequoit Bay Fish & Game Club, the Rochester Corvette Club and Rochester Power Squadron.

Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial visitation on Thursday, August 17, 2023 from 4 to 7PM at Harris Funeral Home (570 Kings Highway So.). Friends are invited to meet the family on Friday, August 18, 2023 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Church for his funeral mass. Interment to follow at Holy Sepluchre Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to the Rochester Calkins VA Center, (260 Calkins Rd, Rochester, NY 14623) in Joe’s memory.
