Welcome to Paul W. Harris Funeral Home Inc.

****Special Report on COVID-19*** WHAT ARE WE DOING TO KEEP YOU AND OUR EMPLOYEES SAFE?

The health and safety of our guests and employees are our top priorities. At this time, the Paul W. Harris Funeral Home and Pets at Peace by Harris Funeral Home will operate normally but with limitations on services. We want to assure you that the Harris team is taking proactive measures to help prevent the spread of any potential illness. We are closely monitoring the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and World Health Organization’s statements regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) cases and following guidelines from these agencies and the local health departments.

We use cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean our funeral home, lounge, restrooms, reception facility after each service with particular attention paid to high touch items like knobs, faucets and chairs

We have increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting these public areas

Proper and frequent hand washing is vital to help combat the spread of viruses. Our teams are reminded multiple times a day that cleanliness starts with this simple act.

Additional hand sanitizer has been placed at each doorway entrance and register book of each visitation chapel

Employees who exhibit cold or flu-like symptoms have been instructed to stay home from work

In an effort to minimize direct contact, we ask that you consider avoiding shaking hands or physical contact with the members of the family you are here to visit.

We request that guests who are experiencing any cold or flu-like symptoms including fever, cough and shortness of breath or have been in contact with or have recently traveled to any of the affected countries refrain from visiting the funeral home at this time.

If you have any questions about the funeral home operations, please feel free to contact our management team at 544-2041. Thank you

Times have certainly changed since Paul W. Harris established our funeral home in Rochester in 1946. But our commitment to caring for the people in our community has not. Three generations and 73 years later, we’re still serving the needs of Rochester families as one of the oldest independent, family-owned and operated funeral homes and cremation services in our area.

We promise to listen to your wishes and always value your trust. We pledge to maintain the reputation our family owned and operated firm has earned by acting with honesty, integrity and sensitivity. It is our policy to go the extra mile in offering the best in personal care before, during and after death.
