Just tonight did I learn of Bob's passing. He was an awesome man. I admired his intellect. He was a kind man, and I am better for having known him. I will cherish the many conversations we shared about drag racing, science and technology. Bob and I were planning on meeting out for breakfast in August. "Sausage fingers" R.I.P. my friend.

Heather, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. It has been a long, long time since I saw you, but I have remembered our times of get togethers, and racing as being some of the most joyous times in my life. Your father will remain a good friend to me, and though your days will not necessarily get easy, they will get easier. Daniell, and Stephen, though we never met, I too pray for you in the loss of your dad. He was a fine man, who made us all laugh as he had a funny side, but could be vary serious when needed. May the God of all comfort wrap His arms around you, and give you peace in these difficult days.

Robert shuryn A BA, a man of his word, a fighter, a rock, a fierce protector, a mopar genius, a drag car speedster, a lover of all things historical, a horror movie junkie, a teacher of many sorts, lived by his convictions, there when needed, traveled the states and saw the sights, a good 'ol Ukie. We will miss you, Dad, even your knuckle sammich's. I love you. May you find peace and be forever happy riding the highway to Heaven in the Eastside Bullet.

We send our deepest regards in this terrible loss to you Bob's children and family. We have spent many times with enjoying his company and helping my Bob with his race car, many nights in the garage. All my daughters, loved him, especially the ones he made pass at. Lots of Laughs! He and I sent alot of time together discussing our PT'S and whatever else came to mind. I can only say, "He is in a much better place now" but we are surely going to miss him alot. May his strength and knowledge stay with you all during this time.

Heather, Danielle, Stephen and all your families. Please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your lossâ€¦our thoughts are with all of you and your family during this most difficult time. Your dad was a very special and kind man with a HUGH heart! He has been a part of my family since I was a little girl. Dan and I will miss all of our trips traveling, drag racing, car shows, cruise nights, ice cream runs and of course when he wanted home cooked meals and watermelon! He will forever be missed!
