Obituary of Hilda M. Smith

Irondequoit; Sunday, September 30, 2012 at age 86. Pre-deceased by her husband of 50 years, Duane E. Smith & son Duane P. Smith. Mrs. Smith is survived by her son; David M. Smith , daughter-in-law; Retta Smith, 2 grandchildren; Heather (Daniel) Drews & D. Scott (Danielle) Smith, 4 great-grandchildren; Sarah & Samantha Smith, Austin & Blake Drews, sister; Carole (Randall) Brake, also several nieces & nephews. Hilda was born in Ipswich, England where she met her husband Duane while he was stationed there with the 8th Army Corp during WW ll. She emigrated to Rochester in 1946 where they raised their family. Hilda was a retiree of Eastman Kodak co. with over 30 years of service. She enjoyed spending summers at Port Bay with family and friends and traveled extensively with them. Hilda had a lovely voice and was often asked to sing. Her family will receive friends THURSDAY 1-2:30pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South), where her funeral service will be held THURSDAY 2:30 PM. Entombment White Haven Memorial Park.
