Obituary of Jean Giambrone

Giambrone, Jean Irondequoit. Monday, January 21, 2013 at the age of 91. Pre-deceased by her husband Charles and her son Ben. Jean is survived by her daughter, Frances Pascarella and husband Roger, daughter-in-law, Pam Giambrone, grandchildren, Gina(Tony) DeRosa, Robb(Helen) Giambrone, Paul(Melanie) Pascarella, Charlie(Melissa) Giambrone, and Catie(Mark) Tortarella, great grandchildren, Alex and Anthony DeRosa, Ava Pascarella, Dominic, Sophia, Julia and Lukas Giambrone and her devoted niece, Mary Alyce Streb. Jean, Rochester's "First Lady of Sports," was more importantly a devoted mother, grandmother and friend. She served the community through many charitable organizations including Rochester Press Radio Club and Mary Cariola Children's Center. Her family will receive friends Sunday 1:00 - 6:00 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Monday 10:00 am at Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose Church for her funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In memory of Jean, donations may be directed to the Mary Cariola Children's Center.
