Obituary of Mildred Camardo

(Irondequoit) Friday, March 1, 2013 at St. Ann's Community, where she had lived since 2004. Born in Rochester in 1917, Millie raised three children and worked for the City of Rochester, the Genesee Valley Club, and the Democrat and Chronicle. She did volunteer work for the Red Cross, was active in the Bishop Kearney High School Parents Club in the 1960s, and appeared in a number of their musicals. Millie loved to garden, entertain and travel, often visiting her daughters in New England. Pre-deceased by her husband, Don, sister, Jeanette Hehir, and parents Leo and Lucy Hehir. She is survived by her children, Robin, Susan, and Lee, son-in-law, Tony Reilly; cousins, Robert and Ronald Wittmann, Joan and Al Floegel.
Her family will receive friends Tuesday 3-6 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Wednesday 12:30 pm at ST. ANNS HOME CHAPEL for her funeral mass. Interment White Haven Memorial Park.
