Contois, Lawrence E.
Conesus. Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at age 78. Mr. Contois is survived by his loving wife of 54 years; Rosemary (Klee) Contois; children; son Robert(Patricia Shaw) Contois, two daughters Suzanne(Thomas) Dombroski, Kathleen(Joseph) Papalia, grandchildren; Marc Contois, Kristen & Jenna Dombroski, Alicia & Nick Papalia, a sister Mary Ann (Bill) Govereau, a brother-in-law John (Anne) Klee, an aunt, Inez Contois also many cousins, nieces, nephews, and many loving friends. Larry graduated from Dumont High School in Hackensack, N.J. where he enjoyed football, fishing and trapping. He was an Army Medic in the Korean War and stationed at Eniwetok Island. Larry graduated from R.I.T. in 1954 & the U of R in 1957 with a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry. Larry enjoyed his 39 year career at Kodak as a Chemist. Some of his accomplishments include 30 patents and many film products. An ardent reader his winter retirement was spent in Florida where he enjoyed card playing, shuffleboard, dinner parties and socializing.
His family will receive friends FRIDAY 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the funeral home. Friends are invited to meet the family SATURDAY 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Church 11 North Street, Geneseo for his funeral mass. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery.
