As per information in the obituary, I am forwarding this message to you to share with Jim's family:
July 17, 2013
Although we've had no contact in more than 25 years, learning about Jim's death is reason for pause and reflection. I see this as an opportunity to reacquaint with family and friends.
Jim and I were neighbors on Wildmere Road, playmates, classmates and good friends. We attended Seneca, Colebrook, Iroquois and Irondequoit High School. In our freshman year, Jim, Rex Nash and myself often walked the distance to school together.
We were loved and supported by our parents, whatever mischief we got in to.
I knew Mr/Mrs Randall & Gram very well. In my 20's, Mr Randall asked me to drop the formality and call him Don. I never could do this. It just didn't seem right!
In the early 70's Steve Jackson and I moved to Maine and our time back home in Irondequoit was less and less. We lost contact with Jim and many of our hometown friends as we became part of a new community...one that is as loving, caring and supportive as the one from our youth. We are fortunate.
Please know our thoughts are with all of you as you remember Jim, the son, grandson, brother, dad, grandad and good friend. May the memories you hold dear help to sustain you in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
With warm regards,
Resa Boettner & Steve Jackson
Sangerville, Maine
