Obituary of Anna Stasiuk

Stasiuk, Anna Rochester: Passed into heaven on Wednesday, August 31, 2013 at the age of 93. She is predeceased by her husband, Peter; her sister, Vickie Borys and two brothers John and Philip Sanagursky and their wives. She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Barbara (Roger) Sorochty and Lydia (Allen) Ferguson, four grandchildren Matthew(Jennifer) Sorochty, Michelle (Mark) Shanks, Michael(Erica)Ferguson and their baby to be born in November and Brian Ferguson, five great grandchildren; the Sorochty children, Ryan, Anna and William and the Shanks girls, Riley and Morgan, several nieces and nephews and family in Ukraine. Anna was born in Youngstown, Ohio but lived most of her life in Rochester, N.Y. She loved to crochet and presented friends and family with her handiwork, especially for new born babies. For the past five and a half years she was a resident of The Friendly Home in Brighton after suffering a devastating stroke. She received excellent care from the staff, many of whom she regarded as family. Her beloved dog, Tootsie, was a consistent well behaved visitor, who enjoyed seeing Anna and interacting with the other residents. Her family will receive friends Sunday 2:00 - 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Panachyda 4:30pm. Friends are invited to meet the family Monday 10:00 am at St. Josaphats Ukrainian Catholic Church for her Divine Liturgy. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
