Obituary of Joseph B. Tydings

Tydings, Joseph B.
Irondequoit: Sunday, August 25, 2013 at the age of 90. Pre-deceased by the love of his life, Marjorie; brothers, Rev. Michael, Edward, Daniel & Gerald; sisters, Margaret & Sr. Marie SSJ. He is survived by his sons, Michael (Barbara), Kevin (Carla); grandchildren, Sean(Lisa), Erin, Caitlin, Brendan, Danny; sisters in law and brothers-in-law, Marge Tydings of Buffalo, Al Keidel, Marion (Jack) Stewart, Jack (Kay) Quinn; many nieces and nephews.
Joe was a WWII Army Veteran, 88th Division Blue Devils and a Purple Heart recipient. In 1950 he founded Tydings Automotive and was a founding member of St. Cecilia Church. Among his many accomplishments, Joe was most proud of his family and loved them dearly.
A special thank you to the caring staff at Maplewood Nursing Home for their loving care of Joe.

His family will receive friends THURSDAY 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family FRIDAY 10:30 AM at St. Kateri at St. Cecilia Church for his funeral mass. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
