Zuegel, Richard A. (Rick) Rochester: Wednesday, May 6th, 2009 at age 73 surrounded by his family. Born in Oak Park, IL; moved to Rochester for college; earned a BS Degree from the UR and an MBA from RIT; married/raised family in Irondequoit; served in USAF & worked as process control manager at Kodak for 32+ years; enjoyed sailing, photography, travel, teaching and sharing with others. Recognized as an accomplished photographer, ranked 9th in world for nature photography, past President & Distinguished Service award of KCC, Kodak Ambassador, Fellow at Roger Tory Peterson Institute, and a founder and past director of NANPA; trustee and active member of Irondequoit United Church of Christ; Chautauquan and vital member of CI community; supporter of BSA and Troop 154. He lived with and suffered from ALS for 5 years. Predeceased by his parents, Herbert and Margaret Zuegel. Survived by his loving wife, Barbara Blake Zuegel; sons, Stephen, James (Lisa), and Jonathan (Andrea) Zuegel; grandchildren, Devon, Hannah, Benjamin, and Jeffrey Zuegel; brother, Herbert (Barbara) Zuegel and many nieces and nephews. His ashes will be interred in Chautauqua, NY at a later date. Celebration of his life will be held at Irondequoit United Church of Christ, 644 Titus Avenue, Rochester, NY 14617 at 2:00pm on May 23, 2009. Memorial contributions may be made to IUCC Endowment Fund, 644 Titus Ave. in his memory. A talented and skilled visionary, creator, doer, and inspiration who was loved and respected.
