Obituary of Joan Rendsland

Rendsland, Lena Joan (Hurlbut) "Joanie" Irondequoit: Went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the age of 78. Pre-deceased by her husband, James; parents, Dwight & Alyce Hurlbut; step mother, Muriel Hurlbut; brother, Garth Hurlbut. She is survived by her son, Timothy; sister, Holly (Dennis) Miller; brother, Fordman (Sheron) Hurlbut; many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members. Joanie was a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She was fiercely loyal to those that she loved. She felt that all animals were gifts from God and was especially fond of dogs, cats, cows & horses. Joanie never wavered in her beliefs and wouldn't hesitate to express her opinion. She was a scrapper right up until the end. Her family will receive friends SUNDAY 1-4pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South) where her memorial service will follow at 4:00pm. Interment Private.
