I had the pleasure of being friends with Ralph since 1st grade, and he is a significant part of some of my greatest childhood/adolescence memories. It was heartwarming to witness his transformation to loyal husband, loving father, and prominent local businessman. I recall his phoning me after each of his daughters was born, and the joy and enthusiasm were very apparent – he was so proud! To Ralph’s family, please accept my sincere condolences. He will live on in my fondest memories.

My heart breaks at the loss of a good kind loving man, for Deborah, Stephanie and Heather...the single memory of his big hands holding a tiny plant so lovingly and tenderly , as if it was an infant , told me how blessed his three ladies were to have the love of a man who could show such love . He will be forever missed by the community he loved and served . I'm sure. Chuck met him at the Gate.....and The Gate is covered in roses .

Ralph/ Ralphie was an inspiration to me as we grew up. So exciting and educational to me to learn reasons for confidence while still falling short on decisions made. I lived with Ralph until we parted ways due to love interests on either side. Job changes for me moved me away as Ralphie obviously stayed at home. The situations changed with life...I could say "I wish" we could have stayed closer but we both respected each other to not sway decisions made. Bottom line...Thank You Ralph for the influence, Curiosity and the momentum you instilled in me for life forward in general. I have not made contact (nor did you) but my options to do so exist no longer. I will miss you and will die myself with thoughts of reconciliation. I will see you at some point and will revel in the memories and inspiration of those you have left behind, whom I will meet and see tomorrow. You leave with my respect and my friendship always. Dear Deb, Heather and Stephanie,
Who would have thought those short years ago that we would have become such good friends over a computer system! You know the rest. We are so sorry for your loss. I know how much you all loved the 'Big Guy'. He was always looking out for us, and I'm sure he still is. We still have each other to help us along the way along with all he taught us about our quest for what's right and just. God bless.

Dear Ralph, Greg, Stephan and Jonathan:
Ralph was my very favorite 5th grade student at Dake. Every Friday he would secretly place flowers on my desk. And when I would stop to buy a Poinsettia plant at Christmas, Ralphie would greet me with the nicest one he could find. I loved Ralphie. He will always remain in my heart as a very special young man. We will never forget Mary Ellen and her gracious way, Chuck and his thoughtfulness and Ralphie as my favorite student. Much love, Mrs. Beverly Barker Stokes

You can not imagine the heaviness in my heart when Tad texted me this morning with the news about Ralph. Take consolation in knowing that heaven is a more colorful and beautiful place because of the flowers he has surely already planted there. Genrich's has a special place in my heart not only because you took Tad under your wing and taught him so much, but because you were family to the Donaloios, always a smile, always a heartfelt hug, and a kind word when we were going through hard times. Deb, there are no words, and Mr. Genrich, having lost a child, I know the pain. I hope it helps to know that the thoughts and prayers of family and friends are with you. The world has lost a gentle soul. I will be there tomorrow and Tad is there is thought and spirit. My children still have childhood memories of running through the gravel in the greenhouse. You touched our lives forever. Our deepest sympathies

To Deb, Heather, Stephanie: A few memories and thoughts I feel appropriate to share with you. My big brother; we shoveled snow to go skiing, we trimmed trees at the farm for dad, you taught me how to drive and you helped teach me to be a man. We had children together and I am sure we will have grandchildren together, and when your girls need that fatherly figure I know I can't fill those huge shoes. I will be there for them and I will make sure no one will ever forget my biggest buddy - Love your Brother Greg
