Dear Steve, Kent and Lance,
I would like to express my deep sadness on Rick’s passing.
Rick and I were best buddies growing up. We attended St. Stanislaus parochial school, spent our summers fishing for bass and perch at Seneca Park pond (Rick loved to go fishing), swimming at the public pool and playing baseball. We rode our bikes all over the Rochester area, Charlotte, Irondequoit Bay, Sea Breeze, Durand Eastman Park, Braddock Bay. We always had our fish poles with us…just in case we found a new fishing hole.
When your parents moved from St. Stanislaus Street to Veronica Dr. in Irondequoit Rick wanted to finish 8th grade at St Stan’s. So, Rick would come over to my house every day before and after school and for lunch. It was like having a twin brother. We lost contact with each other when we started high school. I want to Aquinas and Rick to Irondequoit. Our paths never again crossed.
I have lost my best grade school friend and my fishing buddy.
