Obituary of John R. Lamb

Lamb, John R. Rochester: Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the age of 69. Jack was predeceased by his father, Charles Arthur Lamb. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Cay Lamb; his first wife, Jeanne Carr; mother, Dorothy Lamb; siblings, Barbara Hoffman, Trish Kraft, Glen Barry and Kathy (Dan Edwards) Lamb; children, Michael (Angelines) Alba Lamb and Dianna (Erik) Walsh; grandchildren, Saoirse and Quibian Alba Lamb, Emma and Reagan Walsh. Jack had a lifelong passion for running, both as a runner at Archbishop Stepinac High School and Fordham University and as coach at Bishop Dubois High School. After a career spent in software sales, Jack's passion became philanthropy, contributing both time and resources to many deserving causes, including the Wounded Warriors Project, Boys Town and those noted below. Most of all, Jack enjoyed spending time with his family and all the children in his life. Jack's family will receive friends Friday 4:00pm - 7:00pm at the Harris Family Center (560 Kings Hwy South, located behind the Harris Funeral Home). His memorial service will be held Saturday 10:30 am at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy. South).
