Obituary of Sue Smith Benzoni

Benzoni, Sue Smith Rochester: passed away Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2014. She was born March 7, 1930 to John and Elizabeth Smith. She grew up in Arlington, MA, attended Trinity College in Washington, DC and Sacred Heart College in Newton, MA. She met Richard Benzoni at Harvard University where she was working. They married in 1953. Most recently she resided at St. Ann's Home, Rochester, NY. She loved St. Ann's where she could attend daily Mass without going outside and was cared for by a loving staff. Faith and family were her top priorities. She was predeceased by her parents and 4 sisters. She is survived by her ex-husband, Richard Benzoni, and their 10 children: Richard, Jr. "Fr. Martin," James, Thomas (Noreen), Suzanne (Vincent) Chang, Maria (Louis) Lombardo, Lucia (John) Dieck, Albert (Mary), Josefa, Elisa (Brian) Rosenhein, and Francisco (Kimberly) and 28 grandchildren. Her family will receive friends Friday Dec. 5th 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South, Rochester, NY). Friends are invited to meet the family Saturday Dec. 6th 9:30 AM at St. Ann's Home Chapel (1500 Portland Ave, Rochester, NY) for her funeral mass.
