Jim was a kind-hearted man who didn't always know how to quite tell his family how much he loved and appreciated them - but always spoke with me about how proud he was of all of them. He felt as though he didn't deserve the love and attention they all gave him, in particular the past couple of years in which he was battling his illness. He loved talking local politics and getting my opinion on what was going on. I'll never forget sitting next to him when his daughter Jami was graduating from Nazareth College with her master's degree in education - he just beamed and was in all on how she was able to do it. He was very proud that day.
