Gussie was a wonderful neighbor! She was a woman I admired and respected tremendously. She was always so forgiving and kind when Sydney would consistently find her way onto her porch sometimes with Buzzo or Pilot and sometimes with th whole crew! She'd often bring them home. We would look after each others welfare at times. And I remember her as a robust and vital woman mowing or talking at the mailbox. Joyce, I am so sorry for this loss and you come by your zest naturally! I have a feeling that Gussie will be directing things from above with all of your beloved passed pets and Sydney by her side. God Bless her.

Gussie and I bonded over knee replacement surgery. We would discuss our PT, outcome, and other things. I had a standing invite to stop in and visit or stay the night whenever I came through that area of NY. I knew Joyce from dog trialing, but I had Gus's phone number, not Joyce's. I will miss her and her unflagging spirit. She was a treasure and will be missed. Very glad I got to visit with her in December. So sorry for your loss.

I am so very happy to have crossed paths with Gussie. Joyce, her daughter and I became friends years back while both learning how to train sheepdogs. She was a regular fixture at sheepdog trials, and minus waving pom pom's her daughters biggest cheerleader. I always admired this about her. I will miss spending time with her and enjoying a quiet chat. God speed Gussie.
