My sincere condolences to Gerry's family. She was an impressive lady. Her faith and perseverance led her through many challenges with courage and grace. She certainly was a wonderful champion for life! I always admired her vision and endless drive to be sure that God's precious gift of life was cared for and respected at all it's stages. I pray that she has was welcomed by the millions of little souls she defended to the reward of eternity in heaven.

My deepest sympathies to the Oftedahl family at this time, as I know it has been a sad year. I had only known Geri since September but was with her weekly and I enjoyed being a help to her. Geri was such a blessing to me also and the rapport I had with her will be unmatched. She had such a big heart accompanied by intelligence and wit and they combined to make one interesting lady! I knew Geri through the Right 2 Life networks when my husband Anthony and I still lived in Rochester -especially through the annual Leo Holmsted Award Dinner. Geri was an intellectual who generously shared her talent in defense of the unborn; both through her leadership and her literary attributes. She had a writing style that graced newsletters -the kind you saved because they were so well reasoned & written. I know she suffered greatly, especially as her days were waning and I only wish I could've been closer to minister to her in some way. Her daughter was kind enough to reach out to her mother's network to alert us as to her decline. She was remembered in our Pro-Life Rosaries here at San Marco Parish -and will continue to be. Geri was a noble soul and I've no doubt that all of Heaven welcomed her home. God bless her. God rest her. With Love and Condolences to the Oftedahl Family. We have known Gerry for over 40 years in various pro-life activities and have always been impressed with her knowledge and dedication to life, especially the unborn. May she enjoy a well-deserved rest in the arms of the Lord.

To members of the Geraldine Oftedahl family, I had the honor to know and work with Gerry for about ten years. I was saddened to learn of her passing and will miss her much. Gerry was my "rock" as she was always a good listner and one whose goal in life was to do good work for the less fortunate. She was strong in her convictions and made countless contributions to bring abortion to an end. In this capacity she was associated with multiple committees/boards and organizations to support the Right to Life efforts and protect the unborn. My prayers are for Gerry's salvation and that her eternity is with Ed in the kingdom of heaven. I am sorry that I will not be able to attend Gerry funeral in that I will bo out of state With Blessings, Dean Hamingson ------------------------------
