Never my Boss, Always a friend. It all happened so fast. "Geo", as I always called him was hired by First Federal while I was kicking around the Branch system. Geo's success was my success. When he was promoted I was too, usually into the job he previously held. When he was in charge of Branch Adm. he brought me in and we oversaw the fastest branch office growth in FF's history. When mergers happened we continued on establishing new offices in every region.
Just a snippet of the relationship we shared. He loved his family, he loved his job and he respected everyone who was part of the FF Team. I am so sad and heartbroken that we have lost him. But, I am so happy to have been with him not to long ago when we broke bread at lunch with Al, Gerry, and Fred. I am in Florida now and in the middle of buying a home and arranging our move. Otherwise, I would be there to be with his family. Thank you so much for the invitation to add this tribute. May God Bless your Soul, GJK.
