Pogoda, Christine L. (Schmitz)(Schramm) Irondequoit: Christine was born January 23, 1944 and passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015. Predeceased by her parents, Alfred & Leona; sisters, Patricia & Rosemary; brothers, Al, Joseph & Richard. She is survived by her husband, John Pogoda; children, Samantha (Whitney Hurlbert) Schramm, Amy Schramm, Paul Schramm, Melissa Schramm; step-children, Stacey (Carlos Bonfante) Pogoda, David (Michele) Pogoda; grandchildren, Taber & Asha Stephens, Miles Howe, Viola Schramm, Caius Pogoda-Bonfante, Chloe, Joey, Max & Sophie Pogoda; brothers, William (Erika) & Paul (Maryann) Schmitz; sister, Leona Schramm; brother-in-law, Paul (Paula) Pogoda; many nieces and nephews. Christine was a mother to all, a spiritual seeker, artist and gave so much to so many. She was a loyal, devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Timeless. Her family will receive friends THURSDAY 3-7pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Friday 9:30am at St. Kateri at St. Margaret Mary Church for her funeral mass. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
