Wayne was a dear friend of mine for many years. His boldness, laughter, inventiveness, and creativity were an inspiration. Wayne taught me how to be more outgoing and to take chances in big and small ways. He encouraged (dared) me to go ahead and ask a girl out instead of just thinking about it. He is the reason that I enrolled in the summer music program at Berklee College in Boston, an experience that I will treasure forever. He helped me to step outside of myself and interact with people when I was retreating from life altogether.
Later we worked together at the Pedaler's Bicycle Shop. Coincidentally we ended up working at separate businesses but in the same building on Fernwood Avenue.
It's amazing how God brings people into our lives to help us grow and Wayne was certainly one of those people in my life. I am so sorry I couldn't be there for his celebration and I extend my condolences to everyone who loved him. I'm glad I was able to spend time with him at Monroe Community Hospital, sharing music and remembering the many adventures and laughs we shared. I'll always have a special place in my heart for him.

Friend and fellow guitarist. I was saddened to learn of his passing Saturday while visiting.
I will always remember trying to form a band in his cellar the inter of '73.
God Speed Wayne,
You will be missed.

I am so very sorry to hear of Wayne's passing. I will always remember our vacations in Canada, fishing, boating, with him playing his guitar by the campfire. My thoughts and prayers go to you. He was taken way too early and will be missed so very much. Love and prayers.
