Obituary of Robert R. Morrissette

Morrissette, Robert R. “Bob” Irondequoit: Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his sisters, Jeanette Zelazny & Lucille Lauro. Robert is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Anna (Oliveri); daughters, Sally (John) Morrissette-Weigel of St. Louis, MO, Carol (Ken Minnamon) Luciano; son, John (Glenn Estey) Morrissette; grandchildren, Lindsay & Blake Weigel, Nicole (Andy) Martyniuk, Natalie (Michael) Sardisco; great grandchildren, Esme Martyniuk, Sophia & Thomas Sardisco; brother-in-law, William Oliver & sister-in-law, Rose Oliveri; many nieces and nephews. Bob retired from Delco after 38 years of dedicated service. He enjoyed bowling, and was proud to have achieved a 300 game in 1961. He also enjoyed golfing. Bob never left home without his WWII Veteran’s cap. One of the highlights of his life was going on the Honor Flight in 2012. Another was a flight on a B-17 in 2013 for the 4th of July celebration in St. Louis in which he was the only surviving B-17 radio repairman. He felt his greatest accomplishment was his family. Calling hours will be held SUNDAY 1-4pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family MONDAY 10:00am at St. Kateri at St. Salome Church (4282 Culver Road 14622) for his funeral mass. Interment Webster Rural Cemetery.
