Obituary of Blake R. Londraville

Londraville, Blake R. Irondequoit: Blake Richard Londraville took his own life on Thursday October 8, 2015. Blake was born on August 9, 1960 in Schenectady, N.Y. He grew up with his family in Potsdam, N.Y., and earned an Associate's Degree in Photographic Technology from Farmingdale State College in Farmingdale, New York. Blake spent his entire career at Kodak in Rochester, NY, where he held many positions that included travel to represent Kodak at several Olympic games and consulting with movie makers in Hollywood. His photographic expertise is credited in several published books and scientific articles. He is survived by father, Dr. Richard Londraville (Murphy, NC); mother, Janet Chamberlain (Beaufort, NC); brothers, Paul Londraville (Greensboro, NC) and Dr. Richard Londraville (Copley, OH); nieces, Merryn Londraville (Syracuse, NY) and Opal Londraville (Copley, OH) and nephew, Lyle Londraville (Copley, OH), and many cousins, aunts, and uncles. Blake loved photography, music, sailing, good food, and family. He had an amazing network of good friends who truly loved him, and he loved them back. His heart was wide open for any young kid, any animal, any friend in need. A memorial for immediate family, followed by a reception for family and friends will be held at the Harris Funeral Home, 570 Kings Highway South, Rochester NY on Sunday October 18th, beginning at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to any non-profit addiction program, or your local Humane Society.
