Rochester: Went to the Light peacefully on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 surrounded by family. Vithya, 82, was born April 22, 1933 in Bangkok, Thailand. Predeceased by his parents Dr. Thoulaw and Kai Ki Dong Ajavananda; daughter, Melissa Ajavananda; brothers, Likit and Pricha. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Carol Ajavananda; daughters, Margaret (Ken) Mudge, Carolyn Ajavananda, Marilyn Ajavananda, Kimberly Ajavananda (Kerry Haughan), Rebecca Ajavananda (EJ DeLuca); son, Vithya Ajavananda Jr. (Christina); son-in-law, David Gersh; beloved grandchildren, Maverick, Reilly, Quin, Evalina, Lillie May, Keaton, Jarett, Zachary, Devon and Jacob; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jo Ann and Ed Blodgett, Sandra and John Choromanskis, Tom Breslin, many nieces and nephews, neighbors and friends. We will all miss him dearly. He was a wonderful husband and father.
His family will receive friends FRIDAY (11/20) 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the Harris Family Center (560 Kings Hwy South, the building behind the funeral home). Friends are invited to meet the family SATURDAY (11/21) 9:30 am at ST. KATERI AT ST. MARGARET MARY CHURCH (401 Rogers Parkway) for his funeral mass. Interment Private.
