Batzold, Dorothy E.
Rochester: Monday, September 7, 2009, Dorothy died peacefully of cancer at the age of 88 at Valley Manor Assisted Living Center. She is predeceased by her daughter, Lauren Jacobs and son, Thomas Batzold, and survived by her loving husband of 67 years, John A. Batzold. Dorothy leaves two sons, John A. (Joan) Batzold of Webster, and Alan(Kathy Sammons) Batzold of Wyoming, NY; son-in-law, Paul Jacobs of Denver, CO; daughter-in-law, Pam Batzold, of Rochester. She was a doting grandmother to Lindsay(Greg) Chambers of Lyndonville, NY, Chris Jacobs of Downington, PA, Meredith(Ben Schwarz) Jacobs of Pottstown, PA and Thomas John Batzold, Carly Batzold, Allie Batzold, and Scott Batzold, all of Rochester. Her very special joys were her two great grandchildren, Dylan Chambers and Jacob Schwarz. Dorothy is also survived by her sister, Esther Butterfield of Rochester; many nieces and nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends. Dorothy and John lived and worked for many years in Rochester, where they raised their family, before retiring to their cottage on Keuka Lake.
Friends are invited to meet the family on WEDNESDAY 11:00 AM at the funeral home for her memorial service. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
