Yake, Richard T.
Irondequoit: Thursday, January 28, 2016 at age 85. Predeceased by his brother Robert and his daughter-in-law, Ginny. Dick is survived by his loving wife Helen, children, Rick(Randi), Jim, Ron(Mary), Michael(Connie) Yake, Susan(Lance)Jason, Cindy(Brian)Ottina and Linda(Greg)McCleave, blessed with 14 grandchildren, sisters, Jean DiFilippo, Kathryn Slavin and Barbara Yake, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Dick graduated from Miami University of Ohio where he met his wife Helen 66 years ago. Upon graduation and NROTC he served in the US Navy between 1952-1955. Upon discharge Dick moved with his wife and two children to Rochester, NY where he began a career with Eastman Kodak. Retired from Kodak in 1989 and lived with his wife in Irondequoit, NY for the last 60 years.
His family will receive friends Monday 4:00 - 7:00pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy South). Friends are invited to meet the family Tuesday 10:00 am at St. Kateri at St. Cecilia Church for his funeral mass. Interment will be held in private.
