To my only brother,
As I write this through tears and a huge hole in my heart my life will never be the same. I don't know why but you were a comfort to me just knowing you were there. Now that is gone and cannot be replaced. I love you and miss you but I know I will see you again.
Your baby sister,
Joyce

Dearest Uncle Bob,
You were the best godfather I could ever have asked for, and it always made me proud to be your goddaughter. I loved competing with you on Christmas Eve over which of us ate the most little meatballs. And I loved the horrific stories you would tell Jenny, Heather, and me that you'd get in trouble with Grandma Elsie over. One of my earliest memories is your college graduation, and I fondly remember your wedding to Aunt Mary Lou. The last time you had me in the Christmas grab bag, you gave me that giant box of Whitman's candies, which was very funny! Fourth of July, Mendon Ponds, Christmas Eve, and just coffee with the family will never be the same without you. You were the best uncle and godfather. I love you and will miss you always.
Until we meet again,
Emily

Dear Bob,
Your're the cousin who was the bane of my existance for the first 12 years of our lives. Our fights were legendary. (And sometimes you won.) We fought in the backyard, in the apple trees, in the house, in the neighbor's swimming pool. We fought over board games, ball games, bicycles. We beat each other up and tied each other to the garage door. We fought over who had the better mother: ("I don't like your mother!" "Well my mother is your aunt!") Sometimes when it got unbearable for the adults, your Grampa Wiegand would take us in the kitchen and play poker with us by the hour. It was the only time we got along.
Our weary mothers used to say we were too close in age. Mercifully, we grew older and didn't have much to say to each other as teenagers, but I carried your Senior picture in my wallet to make my girlfriends jealous because you were so good looking.
Bet you thought I was writing to apologize for those early years. OH NO. How else would I have all these great memories, this special bond I've always felt?
Today when I helped your sisters guide you down the aisle, I felt that special bond more than ever. You'll always be my cousin. But today, you were my brother.

My deepest sympathy. I was shocked when I opened the newspaper and saw that your Beloved Bob had passed away. I was just thinking of both of you last week when the mail arrived to save the date for our BK 50th reunion. I'm so very sorry for your loss, as you and Bob were High sweethearts that continued for both of you on your journey in life for 50 plus years. As you and Bob were also members of the elite group from our class of 1966 that had married like Jim and I.
You Dear friend are in my thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time in
Life for you with this loss of your Beloved Bob ,the true love of your life .
May Bob rest in peace and shine upon you as you now cherish the memories of the many wonderful years you shared on this journey in life.

Mary Lou,
My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I really enjoyed working with Bob at VWR. I think all of us who worked with him would agree "Bob was a good guy". He was honest, dependable and good natured.

Uncle Bob,
I will always remember how you loved to tease me (probably when grandma and grandpa weren't around), but I loved every minute of it. The times at Honeoye, along with the Christmas slide shows will always be so special to me. Our family has a part missing now and I will miss you terribly.
Love, Heather

Uncle Bob, I will always carry your memory in my heart. You had the swagger of the Rat Pack with your cocktails and cigars. The heart of a lion in service to your community. A heart of gold as a Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, Cousin, and Friend. Always the gracious host with a twinkle in your eye, and that dry sense of humor which will resonate forever. Enjoy some peace and quiet up there with Elmer and Elsie while you can, because one day the whole crazy family will be up there with you!
