Obituary of Fr. Thomas "Brian" J. Murphy

Murphy, Rev. Brian J. O.Carm Irondequoit: Monday, September 21, 2009 at the age of 77. Predeceased by his parents, Michael and Nora Murphy. He is survived by his sisters, Kathleen Wrieden and Noran(Michael) Lynch; nieces and nephews, Michael, Daniel, Mary, Kathleen, Matthew, Kenneth. Fr. Brian was the Principal at Mt. Carmel High School in Auburn, NY until it's closing in 1970. He then moved to Rochester where he taught at Nazaerth Academy for 20 years and McQuaid Jesuit for over 15 years. Fr. Brian will lie in state FRIDAY from 7:00pm to 7:30pm at CHRIST THE KING CHURCH, where his funeral mass will be held at 7:30pm. Calling hours will be held Monday from 9am-10:45am at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, where his funeral mass will be held at 11:00am in Middletown, NY. Interment Carmelite Cemetery.
