Wilson, Leslie E. Irondequoit: Les Wilson (April 14, 1918 – December 6, 2016), beloved husband, father and grandfather died peacefully in his sleep on December 6th, 2016 at 98.7 years old. He was born in London, England during WWI and immigrated to the US with his mother, the late Hilda Walters. He served in WWII Army 8th Infantry, seeing battles in the European theater. After the war he married his red headed sweetheart, Alice Riley, and they started a family: this year they celebrated their 71st anniversary. Les was employed at Hawkeye and Eastman Kodak for 40 years, and was owner of Sterling Asphalt Driveway Sealing Company. The family grew up and scattered but we always come home at Christmas: this year we will celebrate his life together at our favorite holiday. Survived by Alice Wilson (wife), Glenn Wilson (son), Carol (daughter) Ed (son-in-law) and Alicia (granddaughter) Alarie, Wendy (daughter) and Don Fujino (son-in-law). Les's Celebration of Life will be held 1pm on Tuesday, December 27 at the Harris Family Center, 560 Kings Hwy, Rochester, NY. (Located behind the funeral home).
