Obituary of Harold C. Boeff

Boeff, Harold C. Irondequoit: Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at the age of 89. Predeceased by his wife, Dorothy (Swannie); brother, Fred; and sister, Judy. Harold is survived by his son, David Boeff (Laurie Elliott); daughter, Jeanne Boeff (Richard Green); and several nieces and nephews. Harold started playing trumpet in the third grade and was introduced to big band music while in high school. Harold joined the United States Navy and played with the Miami Naval Air Station until he was discharged. After he returned home, Harold continued to play in several big bands in the Rochester, NY area, the latest being The Music Makers and Irondequoit Concert Bands. Harold worked in the spirits business until his retirement in 1992. Not quite ready for full retirement, he worked part-time for Century Liquor and Wines until his death. An avid golfer, Harold played for more than 70 years. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His family will receive friends THURSDAY 5:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home (570 Kings Hwy S.), where his funeral service will be held FRIDAY at 11:00 AM. Entombment Irondequoit Cemetery.
