Dear Mrs. Laragy, Molly, Jim and Families, we are so very sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Laragy. We are thinking of you and praying for all of you.
I remember when Mr. Laragy helped me to buy my first new car. My dad lived out of state, so, as Molly's friend, Mr. Laragy offered to help me negotiate the deal. He, of course, also took pictures and filmed me buying it! He gave me the dvd, so I'd remember my first car purchase. What a kind and gentle man! He will be greatly missed. God bless you all.

Dear Molly and all of your family,
I am sad to learn that your Dad died last Friday. He selected an auspicious day - Friday the 13! Although I only met your mom and dad briefly at the Clothesline, they were so happy and enthusiastic that I knew you and that I appreciated his photography. Best wishes to you, may you have happy memories since he is still part of your life.
Love, Margaret Miyake

My father often spoke of Jim--he liked him as a friend and respected him as a co-worker. Growing up I always looked at the pictures in the paper and noted the by-line. Even as a kid I recognized Jim's skill with a camera, but not until he came to my father's funeral a few years ago did I truly appreciate him as the wonderful person he was. His thoughtful condolences and reminiscences meant so much to his wife and children. We are so sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to learn of Jim's passing…we worked together at the D&C for several years in the 1960s and '70s. I remember him fondly as a personable, gifted, funny gentleman who made our work together just plain fun. My condolences to his family and many, many friends. He as a lovely human being and will be greatly missed.

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing.
As a young photographer, Jim took me under his wing at the D&C. His stories would captivate everyone in the room and were always told with a sparkle in his eye and wry smile.
He was a wonderful mentor and friend and will be missed by many.

Jim was a good man. He was a dear friend to our parents along with his wonderful wife Pat. Present at many of our families most special occasions...important birthdays and anniversary celebrations. He also often lent his professional expertise in taking photographs of us which are among the most treasured that my brother and I possess.
For me, I will remember the fun occasions my Dad and I shared with Jim and his son Jimmy tailgating in Orchard Park before a Bills game. A memory from years ago which still warms the heart in present day.
My brother Andy and I are tremendously sorry for your loss and know that the world is a better place because Jim was here.
With Sincere Condolences
Eric and Andy Blyth
