Dear Dick: Its been so many years for all of us since Central Alarms, where it all began for the two of you. So very sorry for your loss. Irene was a lovely woman with a good sense of humor. We met Irene at a time when her voice had quieted and her body was frail. Despite challenges her spirit still brightly shined. We witnessed her graceful beauty. We also witnessed Dick and Irene’s love for each other as they partnered lovingly together to write the dignified pages of Irene’s final chapter. Our family was blessed to briefly share in Irene’s life and Dick and Irene’s life story. Thank you! Prayers from our family are with Irene. We also wish Dick and Clayton strength as they grieve her loss. We hope in some small way, you are comforted by the knowledge that our family was favorably touched by your family. Dear Dick: I am so sorry to hear of the death of Irene. She was so full of life that I expected her to live forever. I've never met anyone who experienced and enjoyed life the way she did. Her enthusiasm was infectious and made me want to see more of the world. I hope great memories the two of you shared will be a consolation. Sincerely, Sue Erbland
